Application:
CMIT/MIT 14 is a liquid biocide and has been used as a preservative in a variety of industrial applications including water treatment, paper and pulping, cooling tower, waste water, wash water, water based coatings such as paints, dispersed pigments, adhesives, latex emulsion. The active ingredient provides broad-spectrum activity against commonbacteria, algae, and fungi. CIT/MIT 14 is approved by EPA for industrial applications. It is highly recommended for water containing systems with pH 2 to 9. Typical use concentrations are in the range of 0.02-0.3% (w/w) in the final products.

Handling and Storage:
The recommended storage temperature for this material is l0^oC/14^oF to 40^oC/104^oF. Store in a well ventilated area. The product as supplied evolves gas (largely carbon dioxide) slowly. To prevent the buildup of pressure the product is packaged in specially vented containers. Keep this product in the original container when not in use. Container must be stored and transported in an upright position to prevent spilling the contents through the vent. Do not store this material in containers made of steel
